Same words. New eyes.
A note on rereading
A first reading introduces a book. Returning to it is a different kind of meeting: the words stayed where they were, but you brought another version of yourself.
Three questions to take back to a book
- What did I underline the first time—and would I underline it now?
- What can I see now that I wasn't ready to notice before?
- Which idea deserves to leave the page and become a practice?
A book worth coming back to?
I'd love to hear which book keeps changing for you.
